Project 2 - Crush analysis of aluminium Tube

for a given problem,

workbench setup as below,

1. drag the static structural into work space.

2. go to enginnering data and select structural steel (by default it is selected) and select alluminium nl.

3. double click on model and generate 3D model as per problem statement.

4. go to model, assign material to structural steel and alluminium nl also assign thickness.

5. geneate mesh, ansys will create default mesh.

6. assign boundary condition, velocity 30m/s, 40m/s, 50m/s,60m/s each in defferent comditions.

7. Go to solution, select total defomation and total equivelant stress.

case-1 :velocity- 30m/s

maximum deformation is 0.075271 m

maximum stress induced is 2.4452X10^8 N/m2.

case-1 :velocity- 40m/s

maximum deformation is 0.01033 m

maximum stress induced is 2.922X10^8 N/m2.

case-1 :velocity- 50m/s

maximum deformation is 0.01419 m

maximum stress induced is 3.2357X10^8 N/m2.

case-1 :velocity- 60m/s

maximum deformation is 0.024844 m

maximum stress induced is 3.0488X10^8 N/m2.

conclusion- deformation and stress increases with increasing the velocity. but at 60m/s stress and deformation is lower than the 50m/s.
