Project 1 - Meshing of Floor Panel

OBJECTIVE:

  Objective is to mesh the given CAD model as per the given quality criteria.

PROCEDURE:

  Step 1:

    Check for geometical error in given cad model and clear the errors in the given model.

Step 2:

Perform manual midsufacing on the given Cad model.

• After geometry Cleanup , then extract midsurface using the option Midsurface--->Skin  or offset

1. Set the PID for the extracted mid surface Faces--->Set PID and mention the thicknes to the component.
2. Then provide the Mesh Parameter and Quality Criteria to maintain the mesh Quality on the midsurface
3. Generate  the mesh on the midsurface by using option Mesh Generation----->Best
4.  To have a better mesh flow and to maintain the quality of the mesh by using option reconstruct and smooth 

            Mesh Genration ---->Reconstruct 

            Shell mesh ---->Smooth ,so that we can achieve proper mesh flow

• To minimise the trias we can use split, swap and join option

Conclusion:

         To extract the midsurface  and to mesh the given component with proper mesh flow for the given Quality criteria and Mesh parameter is completed successfully.
