PYTHON-Project 1 - English Dictionary App & Library Book Management System

The project is divided into two sub-projects: the English Dictionary app and the Library Book Management System.

The English Dictionary app is built using the skills learned from week 1 to week 6. The main objective of the app is to allow users to add, find, and update words and their meanings. When the app is started, it displays a menu with options to add a new word, find the meaning of a word, update a word, or exit. If the user selects option 1, the app prompts for a new word and its meaning, which is then stored in a file called "words.txt". If the user selects option 2, the app prompts for a word to search for and returns its meaning if it is found in "words.txt". If the user selects option 3, the app prompts for a word and its new meaning, and updates the meaning in "words.txt". The app uses the concept of serialization to store the words and their meanings in a dictionary format in "words.txt".

The Library Book Management System is a GUI application built using the Tkinter library and SQLite database. The objective of the system is to allow librarians to manage the library's book database, with features to add, update, delete, and search for books. The system consists of a single window with text widgets to accept and display book title, author, year of publication, and ISBN (optional). There is also a large text area or list box to display the records that match the search criteria. The system implements CRUD operations on a "books" database using SQLite, allowing the librarian to manage the books efficiently.

Overall, these two sub-projects provide a comprehensive learning opportunity for Python learners, covering important concepts such as file handling, serialization, GUI programming, and database management. By completing these projects and adding them to their portfolio, learners can showcase their proficiency in Python programming to potential employers or clients.
