Project 1 - English Dictionary App & Library Book Management System

PROJECT 1(a): DICTIONARY APPlCATION

1. I created three function to add words with meaning, search words and update words.

2. In a file named word.txt, I dumped an empty dictionary named Datafile using json moudle

3. In add word function, I opened word.txt in write mode and accepted word and meaning from user and and update the Datafile dictionay is word.txt using dump function of json module.

4. Then I created a search function, that will load data from word.txt and accept word from user to search for menaing in the dictionary. The search is executed using get() function for dictionary

5. Then, I created a update function that takes word and meaning from user and updates it in the Datafile dictionay and then we dump this dictionay data in word.txt using dump function of json module.

6. Then I created a loop, that asks for interger input by choosing from 1,2,3,4. I added 1 to add word fucntion , 2 to search word fucntion and 3 to update word function and 4 to break loop and exit program.

PROJECT 1(b): LIBRARY BOOK MANAGMENT APPLICATION

1. Here, the first root window is divided vertically into two seperate frames left and right:

2. Left frame contains two frame: The first one includes 4 labes and 4 entry box to take input of book details from user.And the second frame contains all the required buttons like display,search,add,issue,delete and exit placed below the first frame.

3. Right frame contains two frame as well. The first one contains all menus stored as labels on the top of the right frame. The second frame contains a textbox to display list of books.

4. Then I created all necessery function to be added to buttons using command.

5. Display button= Lets you display all books in database in right frame in a textbox

6. Add button= Lets you add new book details to databases

7. Search button= Lets you search for books by feeding book name,book author or isbn and display details in a pop up window using combobox.

8. Delete button= Lets you delete a book entry from databases.

9. Exit button= Closes root window.

10. Issue button=No function added
