Aim:- To model and analysis Ahemdabad metro rail project with all possible loading conditions.

Explanation:- As metro rail plays a major and vital role in intracity transport in India. Due to the increase in population demand for various modes of transportation also increases. Seeing various reports published in 2021 it says that over about 3000 million people use metro rail daily as a mode of transport. Seeing it as a focus of importance I have taken this project of Ahemdabad metro rail to analyze it with various load applications.

Load Calculations:-

Dead load:- It can directly be assigned in STAAD-pro.

Live Load:-

According to IS-875, Part 3 Table-1 imposed load clauses 3.1, 3.1.1 & 4.1.1 it should be taken as 5kN/m.

EARTH PRESSSURE CALCULATIONS:-

As the unit weight of the soil was given as 18 kN/m3 and the height till the earth is retained is 18.5m

• σ1= Ka*γ*h: 0.5*18*18.5;

σ1= 166.5kN/m2

• σ2= 0.333*18*3.5:

σ2=20.79kN/m2
