Morph the given component and write a macro for the same using Hypermesh
Objective-Morph the given side body component to the desired shape as shown in the images above and write a Macro for the same.
Procedure-
Morphing
- Open hypermesh and import the .stp file.
- Firstly extract the surface out of FE using geom>surfaces>FE
- Now create morh volume for desired shape change using tool>hypermorph>morph volume>create
- Now split the morph volume from both the sides using tool>hypermorph>morph volume>split
- Now give the desired shape by moving the handles
- Arrows helps us in moving the handles.
- Below shown is the morphed model
Writing a macro
- Open the command.tcl file in notepad on which the morphing was performed
- Copy and save this file as a separate tcl file
- Whenever we are required to perform morphing we can do it using file>run>tcl/tk script
- Below given is the macro for side door morphing
Learning outcome
- Learned to perform morphing.
- Learned to run a macro file.
Results
- In this project morphing on a side door component was done and macro was written successfully.
