Introduction to REVIT concepts
Aim
To introduce and use the basic revit tool bar icons.
Procedure
- Open the revit file.From the file menu select new and create architectural template and it is named as challenge 1.
- Save the Challenge 1 file and and close the file.Then by using open icon challenge 1 file is opened.
- By using architectural wall icon a wall is created about 40'-0"*35'-0" in a rectangular manner.
- By using aligned option in annotate tool bar dimensions are created fot the rectangular layout.
- By using properties browser one wall of the layout is switch into curtain wall.
- 3D view and front view of the project is viewed and saved by using 3D view icon located in a view tool bar.Orbit/pan is created through the layout.
- By clicking visibility option we can change the model into shaded,realistic,hidden lines,consistent colours or wireframe.
- We can view the sun light shadings by using sun path on and off.sun settings are available.
- By using manange tool bar organization name,organization description,building name,author,project issue date,project status,client name,project address,project name and project number are created.
Result
Thus the project is created and attached successfully by using the basic revit icons.
