Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge
AIM
we have to check weather it pass the European standard or not
GIVEN DESIGN IMAGES

POINT HOW TO TAKE MEASURMENT OF EUROPEAN STANDARD
- First we have to take the outline of the wheel and then fender surface which is given
- Then we have to take perpendicular construction line vertically and horizontally at 90degree
- then from center we have to draw a 50 degree on right side from perpendicular region
- then from center we have to draw a 30 degree on left side from perpendicular region
- then after the horizontal perpendicular constructurct line take a measurment of 150mm on upward direction
- then we have to take middle point between 150mm point and that 50 degree line
- measure the distance between the point on the wheel circle and fender curve . all these should be greater than 10mm to satisfy the european
- Secondly the horiontal distance from SA ,SB and SC points to fender curve should be at least 5mm
COME LETS CHECK WEATHER IT PASSES THE EUROPEAN STANDARD
SA-SA

25.992>10MM (PASS)
SB-SB

41.024>10MM (PASS)
SC-SC

38.36>10MM (PASS)
SD-SD

41.024>10MM (PASS)
SE-SE

43.786>10MM(PASS)
Now we have to find the horizontal distance between the wheel and the fender

SA =9.949>5 (PASS )

SB=10MM >5MM (PASS)

SC=0.114 <5MM (FAIL)
CONCLUSION
The given design all satisfied with european standard but the distance from sc point to fender is 0.114 which is less than 5mm therefore this design cannot pass th eeuropean standard and this design should be redisigned so that it should satisfied the european standard
