Creation of geometries by Coordinate system methods using AutoCad
Create the geometries from P1 to P2 using all the coordinates system methods. You need to use the Line tool to create the geometries. Where required you need to use the circle tool.
Please read the drawings and find out the missing dimensions before working on the sketches.
AIM:
a)Create the geometries from P1 to P2 using all the coordinates system methods
b)Civil Related Problems
Draw the profile and the trusses using any coordinate system methods. The dimensions are there for references.
Introduction:
We can draw any figure using 3 systems they are
1.absolute coordinate method
2.relative method
a)relative rectangular corordinate
b)polar coordinate method
3.direct distance method
ABSOLUTE COORDINATE METHOD:
Iabsolute coordinate method,we draw the coordinates thrpugh a base reference in this method method ,we use the reference point as origin (0,0)
We give the distances through the origin.
2.RELATIVE METHOD
In this we can give the points with reference by last points,or before point as refernce and also through the angles is called relative method
Relative rectangular method
In rectangular method we use references as previous points as origin.for tht we need to type @ before the coordinates.
The distance is measured through the previous points.or the coordinates are taken from the previous points.
Polar method
In this method we use angles, that is the change in direction is given through the angles.
DIRECT DISTANCE METHOD
In direct distance method we used to type the distance in the place of coordinates.in this the refernce point through the selected ones.
Procedure:
For drafting the figure P-1 by absolute coordinate method
- click on auto cad applications.
- If it is first time, you want to fix some steps, and start the drafting.
- Now type line command,or we can see on riibion of line command ,click on that or we can use activate using shortcut of Line as L +enter
- Now type the starting point as the origin point of the figure.
- In this figure type specify the first point as (2,1) in command bar
- Specify next point as (8,1)
- Specify the next point as (8,2)
- Specify the next point as (3,2)
- Specify the next point as (3,6)
- Specify the next point as (8,6)
- Specify the next point as (8,7)
- Specify the next point as (2,7)
- Now,click close in the command bar or or you can join the line
Now by the RELATIVE RECTANGULAR METHOD
- Follow the 5 steps which is same as absolute methods.
- After the specifiying of origin point
- Now,we specify next point as @6,0
- specify next point as @0,1
- specify next point as @-5,0
- specify next point as @0,4
- specify next point as @5,0
- specify next point as @0,1
- specify next point as @-6,0
- now close the figure by typing the close or though the cursor
RELATIVE COORDINATE METHOD
- here also as same as the above two methods
- after specifying the first point as2,0
- now the specify the secong point @6<0
here the 6 indicates the distamce of line and less than indicates through the angle and 0 indicates the the angle and line is passed through the east side.
180is passed through the west side
90 means line passed through the north side
270 indicates the south side
- specify next point as @1<90
- specify next point as @5<180
- specify next point as @4<90
- specify next point as @5<0
- specify next point as @1<90
- specify next point as @6<80
- now close the figure by typing the close or though the cursor
DIRECT DISTANCE METHOD
- As same as the first five steps for all the methods upto specify first point as 2,1
- Specify the next point 6 by facing the coursor through the right side
- Specify the next point 1 by facing the coursor through the up side
- Specify the next point 5 by facing the coursor through the left side
- Specify the next point 4 by facing the coursor through the up side
- Specify the next point 5 by facing the coursor through the right side
- Specify the next point 1 by facing the coursor through the up side
- Specify the next point 6 by facing the coursor through the left side
- now close the figure by typing the close or though the cursor
