Challenge 2- Comparing the performance of three types of beams under bending load.
Aim:
The aim of this report is to analyze the performance of three differnet types of beams under a bending load of 1500N.
Through soildworks simulation, we aim to unerstand we aim to understand the behavior of each beam type, including stress distribution, deflection.
Introduction:
Beams are fundamental structural elements widely used in engineering and construction to support loads. one of common loading scenarios that beams encounter is bending, where a load is applied prependicular to longtiudinal axi, resulting in bending stress and deformation. In this study, we focus on threee commonly used beam profiles: rectangular, I-beam and C-beam.
Simulation Setup:
- Geometry: three types of beams with given dimension is modeled in the soildwork software.
- Matrail properties: material properties such as young's modulus, poisson's ratio's and density are assigned to beams material. there properties determine the beam's behavior under loading. Beam's material :- Alloy Steel.
- Loading conditions: A bending load of 1500N is appiles to beams to simulate real world scenarios.
- solver setup: The Simulation solver is configured with appropriate setting to solve the structural equations efficiently.
Case Setup:
1. We have to define study type in soldworks as Static types simulation for all 3 beam.

2. we have to define material of all components as Alloy Steel.
3. we have to fix our component by one side to avoid any deflections.

4. we to define load and direction of load which going to applied 1500N.

5. we need to creat meah on as software define value.
6. At last we run the result to see stress, strain and displacement.
