Assignment 1-2D Meshing Challenge

Objective : To clean the geometry and meshing of the given components with assigning thickness.

1. Geometry cleanup using different options in quick edit panel.

2. Extracted mid surface for 3 parts and geometry clean up for those parts.

3. Midsuface generated was not that good. So ignore some region.

4. Ignored holes of less than 5mm diameter and as per given mesh criteria meshing is done.

5. As per the mid surface meshed the surfaces, and where ever mid surface is not good have manually meshed by using ruled, spline, line drag, drag, and other options in 2D panel.

6. Measured the thickness using length option or distance by nodes.

7. After completing the meshing of 3 parts, assigned thickness for the parts.

8. I have attached a hm file. All 3 parts are in one file. Even i have attached jpeg file/ picture of the given 3 parts.

Conclusion : I have learnt how clean the geometry, meshing of parts using midsurface and without using midsurface. Also learnt how to assign thickness.
