Project

Assembly of Yacht

Aim:-

1) To design parts of Yatch.

2) Assembly of Yatch.

Procedure:-

For designing and modeling of American chopper we have to model various parts such as Propeller, Radar, Radar mast, Hull, Front seat, Middle seat, Rear seat, Garage door, Superstructure.

Different features and commands that were used while designing above parts:

  • Sketch:- Sketch is used to creat a 2D drawing which is later used to form 3D model.
  • Offset:- Adds sketch entities by offseting faces, edges, curves or sketch entities to a specific distance.
  • Trim:- Trim command is used to remove or erase the extra edges ofintersecting lines on a 2D sketch.
  • Convert Entities:- Convert selected edges or sketch entities into current sketch segments.
  • Boss Extrude:- It extrudes the sketch or selected sketch contours in one or two directions to creat a solid feature.
  • Extrude Cut:- Extrude cut is a feature which helps to remove material from 3d model. It is just opposite to Boss Extrude feature, because it cuts a sketch profile while extruding. It can cut in both directions and mainly used for creating holes, channels, slots etc.
  • Revolved Cut:- Cut a solid model by revolving a solid profile around its axis.
  • Revolved Boss:- Revolves a sketch or selected sketch contours around an axis to create a solid feature.
  • Loft:- The Loft feature creates a shape by making transitions between multiple profiles and guide curves thus allowing to create a feature that can be used in both solid as well as surface feature.
  • Swept Boss:- This feature sweeps a closed profile along an open or closed path to create a solid feature.
  • Dome:- A Dome is a round vault forming the outside face of the body or structure, typically with a circular base.
  • Combine:- This feature is used to combine two or more bodies together.
  • Fillet:- A fillet is used to connect two adjacent faces using a smooth tangent.
  • Chamfer:- a chamfer is used to connect two adjacent faces using an inclined line.
  • Surface Extrude:- Using these feature, we can extrude the bounday edges of a face of a solid body or edges of a surface body in a customized directon.
  • Revolved Surface:- Creats surface feature by revolving open or closed surface around an axis.
  • Surface Trim:- This feature is used to trim one or more intersecting surfaces by selecting a cutting edges as the trim tool.
  • Swept Surface:- Creates a surface feature by sweeping open or closed profile along an open or closed path.
  • Surface Knit:- Combines two or more adjacent, non-intrsecting surface together.
  • Shell:- This feature removes material from solid body to create a thin walled feature.
  • Mirror:- Thiss allows to mirror features, faces and bodies along a face or a plane.
  • Curve Drive Pattern:- Patterns features, faces and bodies based on a curve.
  • Linear Pattern:- It Patterns features, faces and bodies in one or two linear direction.
  • Circular Pattern:- It patterns feature, faces and bodies around an axis.
  • Projected Curve:- This feature is used to projected a sketch curve onto a face or sketch.
  • Composite Curve :- Combines selected egdes, Curves and sketches into a single curve.
