WIRE BENDING OPERATION
TITLE : WIRE BENDING OPERATION
OBJECTIVE: To perform wire bending operation on different materials of wire.
- At first added the material from libraray of ansys work bench.
- Then look for the geometric error on space claim.
- Then I look for contacts i.e between wire- lever and wire -wheel.
- Now I go for meshing and use face sizing and sphere of influence option to genarate mesh.
- Now I put different boundary conditions in the model and run it for 8 steps.
- Now request for the results.
- The followings are findings from the solver.
CASE 1 : ALUMINIUM ALLOY
Here the wire material used is alumunium alloy.
CASE 2: COPPER ALLOY.
Here the material for wire used is copper alloy.
CASE 3 : MAGNESIUM ALLOY.
RESULT: EQUIVALENT STRESS EQUIVALENT STRAIN
CASE 1 307.25 MPa 0.0044044 mm/mm
CASE 2 338.78 MPa 0.0031001 mm/mm
CASE 3 226.67 MPa 0.0052505 mm/mm
CONCLUSION: Stress value is higher for Copper alloy material and strain in case of Magnesium alloy.
