Objective: Perform Transient Structural Analysis on Worm gear assembly and write a detailed report explaining the results obtained.

Joints: Revolute joints has been applied to both gears as shown below.

Mesh: Size of element- 1mm.

Analysis Settings: From Time step 2 to 15, carry over time step is switched on.

Joint Loads: Joint Loads has been applied as shown below.

Conclusion:

• Worm gears are usually used where there is a need for greater speed reductions and higher torque to be transmitted.
