Tetra mesh for a Rearview Mirror using ANSA
OBJECTIVE: To Mesh the given rearview mirror using tetra meshing.
SOFTWARE USED: ANSA 2019
PROCEDURE:
1. We load the component on the ANSA workspace. When we load the component we can see that there are a lot of single cons directed in the model. These are generally transmission lines that are caused while importing the file to ANSA.
These can be remove by applying TOPO from the face tab in ANSA to clear this error .
the model we have is this with clear geometry.
2. To make a solid mesh we need to make the shell mesh. For this we use ortho tria mesh of length 1mm.
we also needed to fix the quality of the mesh with the following parameters:
a. minimum length: 0.5 mm
b. Maximum length: 2 mm
c. Tet collapse: 0.2
The mesh formed is as follows with zero quality errors:
3. Now for the solidmesh we need to make a volume. For this we go to the volume mesh tab and select define.
4. After we define the volume we can see that we have a volume in the list. This is the volume that we need to mesh with tetra elements. Then we go to unstructured mesh and chooose tetra FEM to gert the solid mesh.

tetra mesh with zero quality errors
RESULTS AND CONCLUTION:
The model has been worked on and the tetra mesh has been generated with the given quality criteria.
