1) Gas Tank

Import the Chopper Sketch Picture in Solidworks as reference.

With a reference plane, sketch the intricate profile using splines. The splines in appropriate planes are then swept into a surface (top surface of gas tank). Using another spline sketch, the surface is trimmed to appropriate profile.

Then the doom of the gas tank is sketched using splines and corresponding curve projection of appropriate sketches. The doom surface is then lofted between profiles.

The twin axis sides of gas tank is generated using composite curves. This gives one half of gas tank with top and side surface. With Mirror option, the other side of the gas tank is generated.

Then, the surfaces are knit together. Using Boundary Surface option, surfaces is created between profiles along the boundaries in corresponding directions.

Then, the seat profile is sketched, extruded and split from the gas tank profile to appropriate distance. Fillets are applied appropriately to the edges.

The doom lower portion is generated using Boundary Surface option, whereas the remaining lower portion of the gas tank is generated using Lofted Surface Option.

The Surfaces are Knit and appropriate fillets are applied to the edges.

Using Cut Sweep, provision for Main Tube Chassis Mounting is cut out.

Finally, Using Shell Option, the model of gas tank is converted into shell model with wall thickness of 3mm.

2) Assembly of Chopper

First, Chassis is imported in respects of appropriate assembly level front plane, top plane and right plane.

Engine is imported next. Midplane Chassis and Engine are coincidentally constrained. Engine Rest Pad Surface onto the Chassis Floor Surface at appropriate distance constrained in coincident relation.

Pedals (Footpeg) are constrained in concentric relation with the appropriate Mounting Brackets in Chassis.

Kickstand Pin is then contrained in coincident and concentric relation with the Mounting Bracket Hole Provision in Chassis. Then limit angle relation upto 50 deg (in advanced mates) is done for constraining its movement for grounded and riding position.

Transmission Belt is then imported. The bigger dia of the belt is concentrically constrained. Using Advanced Mates - Width option, the two faces of the belt is contrained between the two faces of the pulley. Then angle relation constraint with the crankcase top fully defines the assembly.

Oil Tank is then coincidentally related with Engine Face & Edge, and its Midplane is also held in coincident relation with Mid Plane Chassis.

Rear Wheel is held in concentric relation with Rear Axle, midplane coincident relation with midplane chassis, and parallel relation with appropriate chassis plane.

Rear Fender is held in concentric relation with Rear Wheel, midplane coincident relation with midplane chassis, and angle relation with appropriate chassis plane.

Chain is held in width relation of faces between constrained surfaces of sprocket and also coincident with the sprocket axle holes.

Gas Tank is held in distance relation with Chassis, midplane coincident relation with midplane chassis, and also coincident relation with chassis right plane.

Front Fork is then improted. Steering Column is held in concentric relation with Head Pipe Chassis and Width relation of faces between constrained surfaces of Fork Steering Bracket & Head Pipe Top & Bottom. Then limit angle relation upto +30deg to 0deg Home position to -30 deg (in advanced mates) is done for constraining its movement for steering left and right.

Front Wheel is held in concentric relation with Front Fork Axle, Coincident relation with both Front Fork MidPlane and Front Plane.

Front Fender is held in Coincident relation with Front Fork MidPlane, also Coincident relation with Right & Front Plane of Front Wheel.

Finally, fully defined Chopper assembly is modelled
