Solution- First after opening model we see that there are single cons on the surface. In order to check the topological errors on the surface need to geometry check.
-We can use the option of Hot points>> clear geometry in order to clear all the topological errors.
- Again we do a geometric checks there are no errors.
- Now to extract the mid surface we can use the faces>>offset option and offset all the surfaces.
- Similarly there are other options for taking the mid surface with Faces>>Middle>>Single/Multi.
- while extracting the mid surface set the PID for the particular mid surface and also assign the thickness in the thickness box.
Meshing
- First we change the length to target length of 1mm
- Setting the mesh parameters to 0.5 mm and 3 mm as minimum and maximum length.
- Changing the quality criteria to given quality in the challenge.
- Now we use spot mesh to mesh each and every surface.
- Also we use reconstruct to manage the mesh flow and reducing the off elements.
- Now we see there are still a few off elements and the tria percentage is also high.
- We use split and swap and smooth option to reduce the tria concentration.
- Also we can check the mid surface by switching on the transparency of main component. And the in switching on the option of draw shells as solids.
