Meshing Hood according to given quality criteria in Hypermesh
Objective: Meshing of Hood according to given quality criteria using Hypermesh.
Procedure:
- Import the given CAD model
- Extract the midsurface for each component
- Assign the given quality criteria
- Meshing of each component
- Checking quality index reducing the failed elements to zero

Meshing of components:
- Before meshing we need to create midsurface for each of the component by using automidsurface option.
- Toggle the unnecessary edges by going to quick edit panel
- Mesh the each components separately with element size of 5mm
- After meshing go to tools > reflect > and reflect the elements on the other side
Meshing of Latch midsirface
Meshing of Hinge midsurface
Meshing of Outer extract
Meshing of inner extract
Checking Quality Index and Check elements

Results & Conclusion:
Midsurface extraction and meshing of Hood is done correctly.
