LUXURY YACHT - DESIGN AND RENDERING - SOLID WORKS

OBJECTIVE:

INTRODUCTION:

DESIGN

  1. PROPELLER:

6-Blade propeller, which is a very delicate mechanical body, transfers the engine horsepower to the water. It is mounted on the hull, which is the central part of the propeller. The root is the inboard side of the blade and forms the transition where the blade connects to the hub. The tip is the outer edge of the propeller blade. The blades are given a degree of aft rake to help increase of efficiency.

Modeling propeller helped in understanding features like 2D sketch, relations, constraints, Loft, Revolve, fillet, extrude, circular pattern, and appearances

  1. RADAR

Radar serves as ranging and detection system that picks up signals from objects far away. They are helpful to detect other ships, land obstacles. The sound pulse is sent out from the radar dish on top of the yacht.

Modeling radar helped in understanding features like 2D sketch, relations, constraints, Extrude, polygon, sketch driven pattern, Revolve, fillet, mirror, split line, and appearances

  1. HULL:

Hull is the watertight body of the yacht on which the entire structure lies.

Hull is the surface body with portholes, windows, anchor, propeller shafts, deck, stairs, railings, light, and garage.

Modeling propeller helped in understanding features like 2D sketch, relations, constraints, splines, projected curves, surface loft, surface trim, surface extrude, surface knit, surface fill, shell, extrude, fillet, chamfer, linear pattern, straight slot, spiral, sweep, linear pattern,

  1. GARAGE DOOR

The garage door is the door of the garage which is located on the surface of the hull.

Modeling propeller helped in understanding features like 2D sketch, relations, constraints, extrude, shell, mirror.

  1. FRONT SEAT:

Front seats are located on the front end of the yacht. And are modeled on the deck of the hull. Front seats have seats surface, cushions, pillows

Modeling propeller helped in understanding features like 2D sketch, relations, constraints, splines, projected curves, surface sweep, surface extrude, surface trim, surface fill, surface loft, surface knit, chamfer, fillet, revolve, mirror, dome, and appearances.

  1. REAR SEAT:

Rear seats are modeled on the deck of the hull. Rear seats have seat surface, cushions, pillows, railings, flagstaff, doors with locks & hinges, lights

Modeling propeller helped in understanding features like 2D sketch, relations, constraints, splines, projected curves, surface sweep, surface extrude, surface trim, surface fill, surface loft, surface knit, surface extend, chamfer, fillet, revolve, mirror, dome, and appearances.

  1. SUPERSTRUCTURE:

The superstructure is an extension of the hull from its surface.

  1. MIDDLE SEAT:
