Create connector and Attach the various parts of the given model
Objective;
To make use of connectors to attach various parts of the model.
Procedure;
First to import the model in hypermesh, then that component is meshed by using 2D auto mesh.
Then, to create connector and Attach the various parts of the given model
1. Right_Rail_2 & Front_truss_1:- Seam-Quad(angled+capped+L)
2. Left_Rail_2 & Front_truss_1:- Quad elements
3. Front_truss_2, Front_truss_1 & Right_Rail_1:- Spot weld with 3 Layers and 5 mm Diameter
4. Front_truss_2, Front_truss_1 & Left_Rail_1:- Hexa (Adhesive)
5. Rear_truss_2 & Right_Rail_2:- Bolt Connector
6. Rear_truss_2 & Left_Rail_2:- Bolt Connector
7. Right_Rail_1 & Right_Rail_2:- Spot-weld with Rigid Elements
8. Left_Rail_1 & Left_Rail_2:- Spot-weld with Spring Elements
9. Rest all the component left Join them with suitable connectors.
1D Elements are simple connections between nodes. Standard 1D Elements are RBE2 (Rigid link to transfer motion from the independent node to the dependant node), RBE3 (Rigid link todistribute loads.Will not induce stiffenss).
Spot Connections at a point and Spot welds, rivets, etc.
Bolt Connections at hole locations bolts.
Trim Mass Non-physical mass Simplification through replacement of parts
with mass only or add mass to existing part.
Seam Connections along a length and Seam welds and Connects geometry only.
Area Connection of areas and Adhesives.
The nodes and components are diven to the model spacing and give the tolerence and select which type of connector to placed it. Connector Browser Hierarchal browser that provides information and the ability to edit connectors.
Then created a connector checked wheather its realize or not. if not realize changing the realize option then realize it and changing the tolerence value.
Result and Conclusion;
By this challenge is to learned to types of connectors and their purpose and how to use that connectors by 1D element. And This challenge is connectors spot, seam and bolt are created to attach the various parts of the components by given requirements and attached files.
