Project

COPPER ROLLIG

Rolling copper specimen

Procedure:

Firstly, we nee to import the given geometry into ansys workbench. As we are dealing with copper specimen we need to extract copper NL alloy from engineering data sources. Small changes such s extending the specimen length to 60 mm and reducing its sides by 8mm on both sides. After changing the names of each part of geometry, Copper NL alloy material is added to workpiece specimen. Proper contacts are assigned by selecting faces of wheels and specimen accordingly. Now, cylindrical joints are assigned to both wheels. Both the contacts are frictional contacts with coefficients 0.2. Element size of 4mm meshing is done. Now loads are assigned as follows..

1.DISPLACEMENT OF SPECIN IN Y DIRECTION,

  1. 0.
  2. -4.
  3. -7.5
  4. -13.
  5. -20.
  6. -26.
  7. -35.

ROTATION OF WHEEL 2 IN Z AXIS

  1. 0.

  11. -135.
  12. -150.
  13. -165.
  14. -180.
  15. -195.
