Maximum Deformation: 0.00027486 mm

Maximum Von Mises Stress: 0.59486 MPa

Case-2

Maximum Deformation: 0.00029712 mm

Maximum Von Mises Stress: 0.56684 MPa

Conclusion and Discussion:

From the above two cases, it can be inferred that the plate with a Single hole has the least deformation and highest stress values amongst both.
From an analysis point of view, Case-2 is a better design because it has less stress developed during the application of 500 N Force.
From the manufacturing standpoint, Case-1 is better because it has a single hole which is easier to manufacture rather than cutting two holes in a plate.
