3D Creation of Ceiling, Roof, Architectural plan, Structural plan, Sectional view, Elevation view and Camera specific view for a house plan using REVIT

Que 1) Based on the project saved from Week 3, proceed from the First Floor Level. Model a Ceiling from the architecture tab above the walls at the first-floor level.

Ans. )

AIM : Creat a Ceiling from the architecture tab above the walls at the first-floor level.

TOOLS USED : ceiling

PROCEDURE :

Step 1 : First in Architecture tab select ceiling optiion.

Step 2 : Then we need to choose a two option Automatic ceiling/sketch ceiling.

Step 3 : Then we need to only click one by one room space & ceiling will be creat automatic.

Result : The ceiling would be created successfully from the architecture tab in first floor.

Que 2)Model a roof above the ceiling by selecting the footprints of the ceiling. Using the adjustment toolbars appearing on-screen adjust the roof slope to 10 degrees.

AIM : Model a roof above the ceiling by selecting the footprints of the ceiling & adjust the roof slope to 10 degrees.

TOOLS USED : Architecture , Roof by footprint

PROCEDURE :

Step 1 : Open the architecture tab and select an option roof by footprint option shown in the below image.

Step 2 : Then we creat a roof by some options as per ypur requirement.

Ster 3 : Then we creat a roof by foot print with option pick lines

Step 4 : Then we adjust a slope of roof as per our requirement of 10 degrees slope.

RESULT : As per our requirement we created a roof in our model.

Que 3) Using the file saved from weeks 2 to 4, create plan views for ground floor level and first-floor level including all the walls, floors, and components. Separate them to architecture and structural plans.

AIM : create plan views for ground floor level and first-floor level including all the walls, floors, and components. Separate them to architecture and structural plans.

TOOLS USED :

Architecture

View

Plan View

PROCEDURE :

STEP 1 :First we will go on view tab and select the floor plan and we will take flor plan.

STEP 2 : Then we will go on to the view tab and select a structural plan.

RESULT : We will successfull creat a floor plan and structural plan as per our requirement.

Que 4 )Using annotate toolbar add dimensions to all the walls and floors with reference to the longitudinal and transverse grids created in the project file

a. The architecture plan dimensions include details on where the components are placed within the buildings with relation to grids. Overall dimensions are sufficient for architecture plans

b. The Structure plan dimensions must include details on the position of all the walls and interior walls with reference to grids. Locate all the framing components of the building with reference to a fixed point using Structural plans

AIM : Add dimensions to all the walls and floors with reference to the longitudinal and transverse grids created in the project.

TOOLS USED :

Annotate

Aligned

PROCEDURE :

STEP 1 : First we will go on to the annotate tab.

STEP 2 : Then we will go on to the aligned option and select the aligned option and give it dimention as per our requirement.

STEP 3 : Then we will give the dimention all the items which we are including in Project.

STEP 4 : Then we will go on to the structural plan and give dimention from wall to sloping roof as per our requirement.

RESULT : as per our requirement floor plan's grids created in project give dimention from wall, give all component's dimention from wall and give structural dimention as per our requirement.

Que 5 )Create a sheet template from the view tab and adjust the parameters on the sheet to add appropriate views

AIM : Creat a sheet and adjust parameters on the sheet to add appropriate views.

TOOL USED :

View

Sheet

PROCEDURE :

Step 1 : First we need to load a sheet as per our requirement so we will go on to the view tab and select the sheet option and load the sheet.

STEP 2 : Then we need to insert a new sheet as per our requirement.

STEP 3 : Then we need to insert a floor plans as per our requirement.

RESULT : we creat a sheet adjust parameter and add a floor plan views as per our requirements.

Que 6) Using the elevation tab create the elevation views, looking at your building from East, North, South, and West

AIM : We need to creat a n elevation views at our buildiing from east ,north, south and west.

TOOL USED :

VIEW

ELEVATION

PROCEDURE :

STEP 1 :First we will go on to the view tab and select a elevation option.

STEP 2 : Add elevation of building as per our requirement south, west, east and north.

WEST ELEVATION:

EAST ELEVATION

SOUTH ELEVATION

NORTH ELEVATION

Result : We are creat a new elevation of our building as per our requirement.

Que 7) Produce section cut through each room either cutting across longitudinally or in a transverse direction

AIM : Creat section cut through each room either cutting across longitudinally or in a transverse direction

TOOL USED :

VIEW

SECTION

PROCEDURE:

STEP 1 : First we need to go on to the view tab and select the section option.

STEP 2: Then we need to draw a section line where we need to cut a section in our building.

STEP 3 : Open a section.

RESULT : We are finally created a section in our building as per our requirement.

8) Classify the views, Plan Views, Section Views, and Elevation views to either Design or Documentation category using Properties browser

Ans )

VIEW : it is nothing but the way to see an our project as per our requirement in a different direction.

PLAN VIEW : The plan view is nothing but looking at a object from the top view.

SECTIONAL VIEW : It is the view we get when a buliding or an object is cut along a line and viewed from one of the sides. This helps us to understand how it looks when it is cut from there.

ELEVATION VIEW : It is the view obtained when we look at something from fix side, it shows how tall the object is and how it looks from you want seen from which side

In the property browser of revit software we have all these views , different scales ,different levels , visibility graphics etc. which we can use and clearly design and document a project properly.

9) Using the sheet template produced create multiple sheets as follows
a. A 101- Ground Floor Architecture Plan
b. A 102- First Floor Architecture Plan
c. A 103- Roof Plan
d. S 101- Ground Floor Structural Plan
e. S 102- First Floor Structural Plan
f. S 103- Roof Framing Plan
g. A-201- North-South Elevations
h. A-202- East-West Elevations

AIM : Produce sheets

TOOL USED :

VIEW

SHEET

PROCEDURE :

STEP 1 : First we need to go on to the view tab and select the sheet option and insert a sheet as per our requirement.

a. A 101- Ground Floor Architecture Plan

b. A 102- First Floor Architecture Plan

c. A 103- Roof Plan

d. S 101- Ground Floor Structural Plane.

S 102- First Floor Structural Plan
f. S 103- Roof Framing Plan

g. A-201- North-South Elevations

h. A-202- East-West Elevations

10) Create a camera-specific view or a 3D view in each room ( living, dining, bedroom). Based on the views create a new set of sheets starting A-501 (you can add as many sheets after, 502, 503.. n)to place the 3D view images. Produce the sheets as a part of project drafting.

AIM : Create a camera-specific view or a 3D view in each room & Based on the views create a new set of sheets starting A-501 to place the 3D view images. Produce the sheets as a part of project drafting.

TOOL USED :

VIEW

CAMERA

PROCEDURE :

STEP 1 : First we need to place a camera as per our requirement.

STEP 2 : THen we need to insert a sheet as per our requirement in our project.

STEP 3 : Then we need to insert a specific view in sheet.

RESULT : We are creat a camera as per our requirement and made a sheet of bed room & Kitchen and living area.
