  • Learn the various operations and required commands on Siemens NX CAD to replicate the industry processes accurately.
  • Students get to know the basic terminologies as well as commands used in the Sheetmetal workbench.
  • The course provides a basic idea on how to use commands like Flat Pattern and the proper way to create a drafting sheet using Flat Pattern.

Week 01-Introduction to NX CAD Interface

  • In this module, the student will learn how to create the sketches in NX CAD
    • Students will also be performing functions such as, 
    • Creation of lines, circles, and squares
    • Specifying the dimensions
    • Pattern creation

Week 02-Introduction to Sheet Metal Modelling Interface

  • In this module the students will be able to understand Tabs and Flanges
    • Contour flange
    • Advanced flange
    • Jog flange
    • Hem flange
    • Corners, closed corners, and overlapping corners in sheet metal
    • Adds a flange to an angle to a planar face and a bend between the two.

Week 03-Conversion Wizards for Solid to Sheet Metals

  • In this module, you will get a thorough understanding of:
    • Edge rip
    • Convert utility
    • Cleanup utility
    • Reliefs
    • Face optimization
    • Forming sheet metal from solid 

Week 04-Stiffening Features in Sheet Metals

  • In this module, you will gain experience in:
    • Beads creation
    • Dimple creation
    • Emboss creation
    • Mirror features
    • Feature patterns

Week 05-Creation of Flattening and Forming

  • In this module, you will get an understanding of
    • Neutral file data
    • Surface extraction
    • Adjacent and tangent face selections
    • Flattening and thickening

Sheet Metal Bracket Modeling

In this project, the students will model a sheet metal bracket. They will also understand the importance of stiffeners.

Sheet Metal Switchboard Modelling

In this project, students will learn how to create ventilation for electric casings.
