About the Instructor:

  • Mr Jegan has over a decade of combined experience in academia and the industry. After completing his Masters in Automotive Electronics from PSG College of Technology, he joined Tala Consultancy Services as an Assistant Systems Engineer. 
  • He then began his academic stint as an Assistant Professor at SRM University, Chennai. As an academician, he has served as an Assistant Professor, Lab module designer, Project Advisor and Academic Advisor for undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has taught various courses including Automotive Electronics, Automotive Control Systems, Electric Hybrid Vehicles and Vehicle dynamics to engineering graduate students. 
  • He served as a guide for a funded project in building a formula student electric race car and participated in FSAE Italy 2015 and Formula Green 2017, India. He was instrumental in establishing an Automotive Electronics and Control Research Laboratory at SRM University. The laboratory focuses on Rapid control Prototyping and Hardware in the loop simulation in association with Mathworks and NI system.
  • He has, further, conducted various corporate technical training programs on Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Technology, Automotive Electronics and Control. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Studies at SRM University for the Automotive Electronics programme.
