In this project, you will design Switch Bezel and other Plastic Automotive Interior Trims using Catia v5. Along with that, you will get an introduction to Design Overview in the Automotive Industry, Plastic In Automotive Industry, and Injection molding. You will be also learning Catia software(Sketcher, Part, Generative Shape Design and Drafting Workbench) from scratch.
In this project, you will be designing a Switch Bezel using Catia v5. You will receive input Class A Surface. You need to decide which direction we need to eject the tool based on the component design. Later we will check whether all faces that intersected will clear the direction based on the tooling axis. Later we will start working on the Draft Analysis tool to check if our tooling direction clears the path for easy removal of material from the tool. After that, we will go this class B creation using extract, untrim, extrapolate, and offset tools from surface followed by class C creation using sweep command. At the final stage, we will convert the closed surface into solid in part workbench. You will be also learning plastic features like screw bose, ribs, dog house, etc.
Apart from that, you will be also learning design Overview in Automotive Industry & Plastic In Automotive Industry, Injection molding, and injection mold nomenclature.
You will be also learning Catia v5 software from scratch. This will include Sketcher Workbench, Part Workbench, Boolean Operations, Drafting Workbench, Surface Design Workbench, and Core Cavity Design.
