Part Design using SolidWorks
In this course, you will be learning the solid modeling and surface modeling tools of the SOLIDWORKS CAD software. SOLIDWORKS is one of the most dynamic software used primarily in R&D sectors. SOLIDWORKS is widely used in the concept generation stage of production. It gives designers real-time experience in product modeling. In this course, you will be learning the fundamentals involved in the concept generation phase. Anyone from a mechanical background can take this course. At the end of this course, you will be fluent in both SOLIDWORKS as well as surface modeling tools. This course will directly benefit you as you will be able to get recruited into the industry for the role of a CAD engineer using SOLIDWORKS. This course will be a good opportunity for the designers who are aiming to get into the concept generation phase of products. After completion of this course, you will understand the basics of SOLIDWORKS covering part modeling, assembly modelings, photo-realistic renderings.
You will be introduced to SOLIDWORKS and will learn how to customize the shortcuts. You will learn the solid modeling techniques in SOLIDWORKS while modeling the transmission belt, kickstand, and fenders. You will also learn how to add the appearance to the parts.
In this module, you will learn how to create advanced sketches using patterns such as sketch and curved driven patterns, projected, and composite curves. You will also learn how to create complex shapes while modeling wheels, chassis, and engine.
SolidWorks is a solid modelling computer-aided design and computer-aided engineering program that runs on Microsoft Windows and utilizes mathematical equations (parametric variables) to build parts from scratch.
