### A Quick Overview

The structural engineer has to devise the arrangements and proportions of members that can withstand, economically and efficiently the conditions anticipated during the lifetime of a structure. The particular aspect here is to calculate the distribution of force within the structure and the displaced state of the structure.

In this course, we will understand the behavior of framed structures. The finite element method approach is used to obtain the numerical solution. The practical, numerical solution of structural analysis is seen to involve the formation and solution of the systems of algebraic equations. This approach is carried out using automation of the equation formulation process by taking advantage of the powerful capabilities of the computer in solving large order systems of equations using software MATLAB and MASTAN.

In this section we will study about

● Non linear behavior of materials and we will study in detail about Plastic-Hinge method.

In this section we will work on different methods to solve NL equilibrium analysis equations
