Course Overview
- Geotechnical investigation is a procedure that determines the soil stratigraphy and its physical properties below the ground surface.
- These investigations form the basis for planning, designing and constructing the structures.
- This program clearly discusses the responsibilities of a geotechnical engineer to conduct the soil investigation program and gives a step-by-step guide on the following aspects:
- How to perform geotechnical investigation, both field and laboratory testing
- How to review the factual report from the soil investigation contractor
- How to derive the design geotechnical parameters from the factual data
- How to prepare the geotechnical interpretative report.
