Revealing Skill-Lync's Hybrid Electric Vehicle Program and Its Top 5 Placements

logo

Skill-Lync

Skill-Lync has emerged as the lifesaver for many engineering students by bridging the gap between textbook knowledge and the industry demanding practical expertise. Presently, if you are pursuing a mechanical course or an automotive course, then there's some good news for you!

Skill-Lync reveals what goes on behind its courses - Post-Graduate Program in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Program and the Post Graduation Certification in Hybrid Vehicle Design and Analysis

Let's break down the course details.

Hybrid Electric Vehicle Program

Course Overview

The HEV Post-Graduate Program explores the various aspects of analysis, design, component selection, and sizing at both vehicle and system level. This program is split into two semesters. During this stipulated course duration, you will learn the following concepts:

  • ICE and Electric Powertrain
  • Vehicle Dynamics
  • Strength Calculations
  • Automotive Design
  • Automotive Flow Analysis

First Semester

During your first semester, you will be trained to understand the basics of MATLAB and Simulink for mechanical engineers. Then, you will be introduced to the concepts of a hybrid electric vehicle using MATLAB and Simulink, followed by the insights on control of electric vehicles and battery technology using MATLAB and Simulink. You'll also be exposed to ADAS features through the deployment of the tools mentioned above.

So, in the first semester, your teaching-learning process will guide you to exercise fundamental prowess over HEV.

Second Semester

Next, in your second semester, you will have two compulsory courses as listed below:

  • Preprocessor for meshing using ANSA
  • Python for mechanical engineers

Upon the culmination of these two courses, you would have the option to choose any of the following tracks. But, you must note that they would be allowed to you in conjunction with your previous course performance. Here are the tracks:

  • CFD Track
  • FEA Track
  • Design Track
  • MBD Track

How to Choose the Right Optional Track?

If you are interested in fluid mechanics, or thermodynamics, or heat transfer, go for the CFD track. If you are passionate about the strength of materials, you can opt for the FEA track.

Alternatively, if you have a liking for sheet metal design, or plastic design, or surface design, then you can go for the design track. And lastly, if you are well versed with vehicle dynamics, you could appear for the MBD program.

Now, are you wondering about your learning environment? Read on, and find out about Skill-Lync's learning platform dashboard.

Teaching-Learning Experience

Once you enroll in your course, you would be given a separate account with login credentials. There, you would have your unique dashboard that will display all the classes you can access.

For each of these courses, you would have videos and challenges to take up. So, you can click on the Videos button to be guided to the video interface.

Note that you won't be given access to all the videos at one go. A defined set of lectures would be provided to you for a week. You will study them and take up their respective assignments.

In case you have any doubts, you can avail the following three forms of student support:

  • Direct call option to the support engineer
  • Discussions on forum
  • Video conferencing via Zoom

You can share your screen and get your doubts clarified. Alternatively, you can raise a ticket and get your queries addressed via e-mail. You can be assured of help within just 15 to 20 minutes.

Once you complete your videos, you would have a set of challenges to work on. Skill-Lync believes that it's not just about pouring through videos; rather, students must put the acquired knowledge into practice.

For instance, let's say you are undertaking a Frontal Crash Analysis assignment. It would have three facets to it, like a real industry problem. So, you would be given the model and the software and asked to submit a detailed report of your observations and analysis as the first step.

Once you submit the report, you get to see the leaderboard. This way, you'd know where you stand among your fellow learners. Note that this is a global leaderboard, which means, you would be competing against students not just from India but from Indonesia and other parts of the globe.

Also, your assignments are graded and sent across with feedback within minimal time. This helps you understand your strengths and weaknesses in a short timeframe, leaving room for improvement.

So, this is how your teaching and learning experience would be. Aren't you excited to join the course already?

Those who've joined Skill-Lync have all shined in their respective areas. And presently, to encourage you of how marvelously Skill-Lync can transform you, let's look into the learning journeys of the top five Skill-Lync students.
